The Best Mice In Stock at Wootware: 16 Tested Picks, Ranked (2026)
We blended measured click latency, weight, sensor performance, battery life and critic scores for every mouse in stock at Wootware, then ranked them and picked the best for gamers, budget buyers and office users.
We've pulled together every mouse currently marked In stock with Wootware: 24 listings, which comes to 16 different mice once you merge colourways. We then went looking for hard numbers instead of marketing copy. That means measured click latency from TechPowerUp's LDAT/XLAT rigs and RTINGS, measured weights, sensor and polling capability, battery life, and the published scores from the reviewers who've tested them.
All of that is blended into a single score out of 100, so you can see at a glance which mice deliver the most performance. Then we split out recommendations by the kind of user you are, because the "best" mouse for a CS2 grinder is a terrible pick for a spreadsheet warrior.
The short version: the Scyrox V8 (from R999) wins on the numbers. It measured 0.4 ms click latency at 8K and 40 g, and has one of the best critic scores in the group. The Scyrox V6 ties it with a palm-friendlier shape.
The LAMZU Maya X is the fastest-clicking mouse we found data for. For work rather than play, the MX Master 3S is still the one to beat.
The ranking
How we scored them
Each mouse gets a 0–10 sub-score in six areas, and those are weighted into a total out of 100:
- Critic consensus (35%): the average of published review scores normalised to /10 (RTINGS, PC Gamer, Tom's Hardware/Guide, TechRadar, PCMag and others).
- Click latency (20%): measured, not claimed. Under 1 ms scores 10; above 13 ms scores 2.
- Sensor and polling (15%): tracking speed (IPS) and maximum polling rate with the included receiver.
- Weight (15%): measured where available. Lighter is better for aim-heavy games.
- Price (10%): our current in-stock price.
- Battery (5%): skipped for wired mice, and the other weights are rescaled so wired mice aren't penalised.
Where a value simply isn't published we leave it out rather than guess. That's why the brand-new LAMZU Thorn V2 is listed but unranked: no independent lab has tested it yet. This score is deliberately performance-first, so productivity mice like the MX Master range rank lower here despite excellent reviews. Check the recommendations below for where they shine.
Our picks for different users
Best overall
Scyrox V8 · from R999
The Scyrox V8 brings flagship-level speed (0.4 ms at 8K, 40 g measured, PAW3950) to a sub-R1 100 price, with the 8K dongle in the box. Claw-grip players should start here; palm grippers should pick its twin, the V6.
Best for competitive FPS, money no object
Logitech PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE · from R3 499
If you want the newest tech, the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE's adjustable-actuation HITS buttons and rapid trigger are unique. Plain speed is a wash, though: the Scyrox and LAMZU mice already click faster for half the price.
Best for larger hands
LAMZU Maya X · from R1 699
The Maya X has the lowest click latency here (0.5 ms, unaffected by polling rate) and a roomier shape than the Scyrox pair.
Best esports symmetrical
Razer Viper V3 Pro SE · from R2 649
The Viper V3 Pro platform is a pro-scene staple. The SE has 54 g, 95 h battery and superb latency at 1K, and it's currently R1 350 off.
Best budget wireless
Logitech G305 X SUPERLIGHT · from R1 399
The G305 X SUPERLIGHT keeps the beloved G305 shape, loses around 40 g and adds USB-C plus Bluetooth. If R749 is the ceiling, the original G305 is still a great buy.
Best wired
Logitech G502 X (wired) · from R1 399
The G502 X has 2.1 ms latency, LIGHTFORCE switches and the classic G502 ergonomics at 84 g measured. It's ideal if you never want to charge anything.
Best for MMO/MOBA and button lovers
Logitech G502 X PLUS · from R2 799
The G502 X PLUS has 13 programmable controls, a free-spin wheel, LIGHTSPEED wireless and POWERPLAY support. If you're on a budget and don't mind extra weight, the G502 HERO at R699 gets you most of the buttons.
Best first gaming mouse / tightest budget
Logitech G102 LIGHTSYNC · from R299
From R299 the G102 LIGHTSYNC is a proper gaming sensor with 1K polling, 5 ms latency and RGB. Nothing else comes close for the money.
Best for work and creative apps
Logitech MX Master 3S · from R1 499
The MX Master 3S remains the productivity benchmark. Pick the MX Master 4 if the haptic panel and Actions Ring suit your workflow, or the MX Anywhere 3S if it lives in a laptop bag.

Latency figures come from different rigs (TechPowerUp LDAT/XLAT versus RTINGS), so treat small gaps as close to a tie. Weights marked * are manufacturer specs. Viper V3 Pro SE latency uses the standard Viper V3 Pro (same platform), and G102 LIGHTSYNC latency/weight uses the functionally identical G203 Prodigy. Prices were captured on 28 September 2026 and can change.
Every mouse, in brief

#1 · 94.6/100
Scyrox V8
Why we like it: Rear-humped claw shape, 40 g measured, 8K dongle in the box and 0.4 ms click latency at 8K. TechPowerUp called its weight/performance/price mix "currently unrivalled".
Watch out for: Polling can be uneven at 4K/8K; battery drains fast at 8K (~15 h); stiff cable.
Critics: 9.6/10 average of 1 review · Click latency: 0.4 ms (TechPowerUp LDAT, 8K) · Weight: 40.2 g (RTINGS measured) · Battery: ~70 h @ 1K / ~15 h @ 8K (TechPowerUp estimate)

#2 · 94.6/100
Scyrox V6
Why we like it: Same internals as the V8 in a safer, centred-hump shell that suits palm and claw grips. RTINGS 9.6, and a true 8K dongle is included.
Watch out for: Around 2-4 g over its 40 g spec; no Bluetooth; the same high-polling-rate unevenness as the V8.
Critics: 9.6/10 average of 1 review · Click latency: 0.4 ms (TechPowerUp LDAT, 8K) · Weight: 43.8 g (RTINGS measured) · Battery: ~70 h @ 1K / ~15 h @ 8K (TechPowerUp estimate)

#3 · 90.0/100
LAMZU Maya X
Why we like it: The lowest click latency in this round-up (0.5 ms at any polling rate) and an accommodating shape for medium-to-large hands. Omron optical switches.
Watch out for: Costs more than the Scyrox pair; early firmware had a left/right click bug, so update it on day one.
Critics: 9.3/10 average of 1 review · Click latency: 0.5 ms (TechPowerUp LDAT (any polling rate)) · Weight: 46.2 g (RTINGS measured) · Battery: 80 h @ 1K / 20 h @ 8K (LAMZU)

#4 · 84.8/100
Logitech PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE
Why we like it: Logitech's inductive HITS main buttons offer adjustable actuation, rapid trigger and haptic feedback, a first for a mouse. It measured 1.8 ms at the shortest actuation point, and 8K wireless works out of the box.
Watch out for: Most expensive mouse here; front-heavy; average side buttons and feet.
Critics: 9.5/10 average of 3 reviews · Click latency: 1.8 ms (TechPowerUp (XLAT, 8K, AP1)) · Weight: 60.8 g (RTINGS measured) · Battery: ~90 h @ 1K (Logitech)

#5 · 84.4/100
Razer Viper V3 Pro SE
Why we like it: The Viper V3 Pro platform is one of the fastest wireless mice ever measured (0.8 ms at 1K). It weighs 54 g and has a proven esports-favourite symmetrical shape.
Watch out for: 8K needs Razer's separate HyperPolling dongle; SE-specific lab data is scarce, so measurements come from the standard V3 Pro.
Critics: 8.8/10 average of 2 reviews · Click latency: 0.8 ms (TechPowerUp LDAT @ 1K (standard Viper V3 Pro — same hardware)) · Weight: 54 g (Razer spec) · Battery: 95 h @ 1K (Razer)

#6 · 77.7/100
Logitech G305 X SUPERLIGHT
Why we like it: The classic G305 egg shape, now 59 g, rechargeable over USB-C, with Bluetooth and a HERO 44K sensor. RTINGS early-access score: 9.3.
Watch out for: 8K needs the PRO receiver (sold separately); PC Gamer disliked the stock skates; no public latency number yet.
Critics: 7.8/10 average of 3 reviews · Click latency: n/a (No public measurement yet) · Weight: 57.7 g (RTINGS measured) · Battery: 130 h (Logitech)

#7 · 75.7/100
Logitech G502 X (wired)
Why we like it: Probably the best-shaped G502 yet: 84 g measured, LIGHTFORCE switches that avoid double-clicks, and 2.1 ms wired latency.
Watch out for: Wired only; too big for small hands and claw grip; loud clicks.
Critics: 8.4/10 average of 4 reviews · Click latency: 2.1 ms (RTINGS (wired)) · Weight: 83.7 g (RTINGS measured) · Battery: Wired

#8 · 73.6/100
Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED
Why we like it: Still a brilliant cheap wireless mouse: 250 h on one AA, a compact shape and 6.3 ms latency.
Watch out for: 99 g with the battery is heavy by 2026 standards; capped at 1K polling; no Bluetooth.
Critics: 8.6/10 average of 4 reviews · Click latency: 6.3 ms (RTINGS (receiver, archived bench 1.1)) · Weight: 99 g (Logitech spec incl. AA) · Battery: 250 h on one AA (Logitech)

#9 · 73.0/100
Logitech G102 LIGHTSYNC
Why we like it: Absurd value from R299: 8,000 DPI, good 5 ms wired latency and LIGHTSYNC RGB. It's the default first gaming mouse.
Watch out for: Small, flat shape suits small/medium hands only; non-detachable cable.
Critics: 8.0/10 average of 3 reviews · Click latency: 5.0 ms (RTINGS (G203 Prodigy — same shell)) · Weight: 82.1 g (RTINGS measured (G203)) · Battery: Wired

#10 · 70.7/100
Logitech G502 X PLUS
Why we like it: The G502 X with LIGHTSPEED wireless (2.2 ms), 8-zone RGB and 130 h of battery with RGB off. It supports POWERPLAY charging.
Watch out for: 104 g measured; battery drops to 37 h with RGB on; pricey.
Critics: 8.6/10 average of 4 reviews · Click latency: 2.2 ms (RTINGS (LIGHTSPEED receiver)) · Weight: 103.7 g (RTINGS measured) · Battery: 130 h RGB off / 37 h RGB on (Logitech)

#11 · 69.9/100
Logitech G502 HERO
Why we like it: 13 years of refinement: 11 programmable buttons, adjustable weights and a free-spin wheel for R699.

Critics: 8.1/10 average of 4 reviews · Click latency: 3.7 ms (RTINGS (wired)) · Weight: 120.7 g (RTINGS measured) · Battery: Wired

#12 · 59.8/100
Razer DeathAdder Essential
Why we like it: The DeathAdder ergonomic shape suits nearly every hand at a budget price.
Watch out for: 18 ms measured click latency is slow for competitive play; basic 6,400 DPI sensor; Synapse must run in the background.
Critics: 7.8/10 average of 2 reviews · Click latency: 18.0 ms (RTINGS (wired, archived 2022 bench)) · Weight: 93.2 g (RTINGS measured) · Battery: Wired
